Holistic Hen Colorado

Thank you for taking the time to read more about our family farm. Holistic Hen is different than any other organic homestead. Many years of research has been done before my feet even hit the dirt in Colorado Springs. My passion for eating organic fed and holistic treated animals comes from our third child.

MY STORY: Our son was vaccine injured at his two year wellness visit. His pediatrician pushed the pertussis vaccine, because our fourth child was due less than two months later. He was given the DTap vaccine and had a reaction within the hour. I had to find a way to detox him and prevent any further damage to his body. He is not able to shed vaccines and his liver and kidneys do not flush out the toxins. The best way to treat him is to prevent toxins from entering his body in the first place. This is where Momma Bear did more research than the FBI. I had eaten a lot of organic food most of my life, but I didn't fully understand how lax the word "organic" can be. Nor, that organic food can still contain less than desirable chemicals or allergens that trigger auto-immune responses in the body. We partnered with a homeopathic doctor that did bloodwork and scans to determine he was allergic to 67% of all allergens known. That severely limited what he could eat.

MY ANIMALS: All of our animals have been fed an organic diet, including kitchen scraps, that are corn/soy free. We no longer feed our animals Fehringer's and have lost faith in their quality. We are using Ranchway and Modesto Millings. Our animals have never looked as good as they are now. I'm getting much better egg production too! They free range on ten acres in Colorado Springs, CO that haven't been treated with any chemicals either. (You can tell by all my weeds! ) Animals are never given antibiotics, chemical wormers or vaccinations of any kind. They do receive rumen yeast, herbal wormers at appropriate times, and tinctures to boost immunity. They are always treated with respect and dispatched humanely.
