Our animals live a natural life! We raise our animals as close to their natural habitat as we can achieve. No vaccinations, no antibiotics, no growth hormones, and no chemical de-wormers. Our animals feed on 100% biodynamic pastures and are never fed GMO grain or alfalfa. Our pastures are grown with only biological supplements; no pesticides, no herbicides, and no synthetic chemical fertilizers.
We believe that the health of our livestock translates directly to human health!
Our Process
Why does our meat taste so good? There are several reasons. First, our pastures are grown holistically without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers. We include a diverse mixture of grasses, legumes, brassicas, and forbes in our fields. This diversity of plant material is what gives our meat a deep, rich, and complex flavor.
We rotate our cattle on grass pastures. Through the winter months we supplement with our own hay grown on remineralized fields. Our cattle are never confined to a feed lot. They graze the land as they were originally designed to do. We simply orchestrate their rotation and provide them with the best possible nutrition which is passed on to our customers.
Like our forage we have a diverse group of cows. We raise Hereford, Angus, Devon and British White cattle. It is a closed herd. We sell only what we raise. Each calf is raised to an appropriate age to be fully finished on pasture. This insures the quality of our meat. Our farm plan focuses on nutrition from soil to plants to animals to humans. We would love to be YOUR farmers.
Our meat is dry-aged, the old fashioned way, for 14 days at a USDA inspected facility on the Western Slope.
